Bit Sets

For joinery operations you need straight and dovetail bits. Solid carbide up cut spirals with their continuous slicing action are the best choice for straight bits. For a hand cut dovetail look, high speed steel dovetail bits are your only choice. TCT dovetail bits have a stout machine made look, but are required for manmade material. All of our bits, except drawer front, have 1/2" extended length shanks that are best with Router Boss.

Contains 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" solid carbide up-cut spiral straight bits with 1/2" shanks. The 1/2" bit has a 2" cutting length and 4" overall length. The 3/8" and 1/4" bits have a 1-1/2" cutting length with 3-1/2" overall length. Made in USA. Spiral bits are in continuous contact with the wood. They cut clean and leave a superior finish. They can be used with both real wood and man made material. Up-cut spirals are the right choice for mortising since they lift sawdust out of the cut. By raising or lowering bit you can adjust profile from 1" to 1.5" of reveal. With Router Boss power feed you can "climb cut" raised panels for a smooth, breakout free finish.
